Handmade glassmaker

A specialist in hot glass, the glassmaker shapes the molten material (crystal, crystalline or ordinary glass) by hand using different techniques (picking, blowing, pressing, etc.) and using different tools (ferret, canes, mallet). , mold…).
“The techniques are numerous and very targeted,” she explains, “such as fusing or even thermoforming. My initial training then allowed me to combine graphic design.”

Glassmaker with blowtorch

The blowtorch glassmaker creates bottles, beads or sculptures by working glass tubes and rods under the flame of a blowtorch. It adapts the temperature depending on the glass used: lead crystal, soda-lime glass or borosilicate glass.


Decorator glassmaker

The decorative glassmaker is capable of carrying out glass transformation, decoration and finishing operations and can also design a work as a whole.

Foundry glassmaker

Using different techniques, the glass foundry maker models the material in order to create his pieces. Its specialties are bending, fusing, glass paste and molding.

The melter by fusion (fusing) assembles cold pieces of glass by superimposing them, then brings the whole thing into an oven to its melting point to form a single homogeneous piece.
